Running the Race Together
It’s exciting to think of the Olympics coming to Canada!
We think of all those athletes and their hard work as they
get ready for the Olympics in their respective events.
They practice continuously and steadily.
They are examples of ultimate determination and endurance.
This inspired the staff at CCS to use as the theme for 2009-2010 school
year “Running the Race Together.” As a school we are running a race
for our students. This is done together: staff, parents, grandparents,
students, friends, and others.
The race is only part of the student’s life race – that of serving the Lord and their neighbours.
The race at school is to learn about the remarkable world that God created; to develop
their faith in the Lord; and to integrate skills that are needed as they get ready to
eventually go to high school. We are to run with endurance and determination.
We are to run steadily, as in a sprint, toward the Light, our Lord.
We ask His blessing on this school year as we run the race together.
